The Alpaca Herd

                              Brown's Creek Antero

When we purchased Antero from So Fine Alpacas in Black Forest, CO, in
2007, we had high hopes for his lovely fleece with its wonderful handle.
He has true black coloring from his dam’s side, as well as Peruvian Bueno
genetics.  At his second shearing, just short of two years old, Antero's fiber
    statistics were MFD 22.8, SD 5.0, CV 21.9, %>30 microns 7.9, satisfying
our hopes.  Now Antero has produced two very nice cria for us – a bay
black female, Tall Black Coffee, and a medium brown male, Jack Flash.
Antero produced a female this spring at Stable Investments Alpacas in
Edgewood, NM, this time a fawn, and another male at our ranch, this one
snow white!  He demonstrates quite a range of color.  Antero’s
conformation is very correct; at the 2007 NMSF Alpaca Show, where
Antero took 3rd place in a very competitive class, the judge
complimented Antero on his straight legs and top line and the correctness
    of his overall proportions.

                                                  Xanadu Panache P. Prime

We are thrilled to acquire Panache from Donna Helberg and Todd Faulkner of Prairie
Sun Ranch Alpacas in Erie, Colorado.  As an award-winning Caligula son, Panache has
had a productive career already, and we have now welcomed our first Panache cria to
Milagro Moon Ranch.  Milagro Spin This was born in November; so far we believe this
little guy is a winner, and we have never had such a personable and charming animal
    born on the farm.

Panache is an exceptional male out of Accoyo Peruvian Caligula and an Alianza dam,
5Peruvian Donna Alteia. He has perfect conformation, bite and fiber! His 1 year fleece
had one of the finest handles, with a micron of 18.8 , 3 SD, 16 CV, and 0.5% over 30,
and a sheared fleece weight of over 10 lbs. and over 12 lbs. in 2004. He placed 1st at
the 2000 Southeast Alpaca Association Fall Fest with the highest fleece score of the
show and he also took 1st at the Santa Fe Alpaca Show in 2001. Since then he's been
working and has produced numerous ribbon-winning cria including Color
Champions and Reserve Color Champions. They range in color and all of them have
great fleece! His fleece took a blue ribbon at the 2003 Estes Park Wool Market as well
as color champion AND Judges Choice. After seeing his fleece Cameron Holt
suggested he be follicle tested! With his fiber, great disposition, conformation,
pedigree, and presence, he's perfect for upgrading your herd in every aspect!

Milagro Full Moon Rising

Milagro Full Moon Rising ("Casper") was born in July of 2009
to our Megan and Antero.  He is of course still wearing his
cria fleece, but so far it is gorgeous.
We can't wait to see how it comes back during his second
year!

Fiber stats coming after mid may....

Milagro Jack Flash

Milagro Jack Flash is from Antero and our Isadora.  He is offered
as a fiber male and is registered as such.  His medium brown
fleece will be wonderful to work with; for breeding purposes
we would prefer his fiber have more definition, so we will have
him gelded when he is old enough.
