Females

We acquired our first female alpacas in 2002 while we were still living in Longmont, Colorado. For us, the animals came first, then the farm and the very steep learning curve! Since then, we have experienced the birthing of seven cria here on our farm.

Lanarks Isadora

Always dependable dam ~ 4 in 1 Package!

The daughter of Peruvian Pizarro, Isadora has proven time and again to be a strong and healthy mother. Isadora’s 2004 cria, Pelo de Oro, placed 1st at the 2006 SEPA show and his fleece took a 3rd at the 2005 Estes Park Wool Market.  He is now enjoying his role as herdsire at Terrace Mountain Alpacas in Pennsylvania with his first two cria on the ground. As with all of Isadora’s offspring, Pelo de Oro has quality fleece with good handle and impressive staple length. Isadora's 2006 offspring, Milagro Lucero (Peruvian Congo, sire), resides at Milagro Moon Ranch. Lucero is also developing into a good looking male, with extremely fine and consistent fleece (AFD 18.6, SD 3.6, CV 18.8, %>30 microns 0.6).

In this package, Isadora is offered with her '07 cria, Milagro Cobre, sired by full Peruvian Jolimont Gold Dust. Weaned and living with the bigger boys now, he could prove to be a fine jr. herdsire.

Isadora is bred to Antero, our very capable bay black herdsire, and is due this November. Another breeding to Antero is included with your purchase, for a total of four animals.

Sweet Megan & daughter Magnolia

Full Peruvian Hemingway Granddaughter
WITH FULL PERUVIAN FEMALE CRIA at HER SIDE

Megan is our full Peruvian Hemingway granddaughter and Dom Alamir daughter. Her cria consistently produce fleece with long staple length and beautiful lustre. Her 2004 cria, Milagro San Pedro, received a 2nd Place ribbon at the Estes Park Wool Market for his 2006 fleece, (class of nine white fleeces).

Megan's '07 female cria, Milagro Magnolia, now 14 months, is turning into a lovely young lady with a beautiful head and face and lovely overall conformation. Her fiber statistics were impressive as well:

AFD: 22.1,  SD: 3.4,  CV: 15.4,  %>30 microns: 1.4

Megan produced yet another lovely female "Dusty" cria in June this year; Lily is now offered as part of this package of four, or we would sell Megan and Lily as their own small package until Lily is weaned.

Sweet Louise

Recently purchased from So Fine Alpacas, we are excited to see what our lovely dark brown Sweet Louise can add to our herd. Both her dam and sire have much gray and black in their backgrounds. With such wonderful color potential and a beautiful and delicate face, we are expecting some truly exceptional cria. Louise has been bred to our Brown's Creek Antero (on the first, last and only breeding, no less!) and is due to give birth in October or November of 2008.
