East Mountain Fiber Farm and Studio Tour -

Saturday and Sunday, June 2nd & 3rd 2012, 10:00am-5:00pm

This event is entering its 9th year of celebrating the fiber farms and
fiber artists in the East Mountain area of north central New Mexico.
Approximately 20 miles from Albuquerque and 40 miles from Santa Fe,
the 10 to 12 stops along the tour are located in Edgewood and
surrounding areas.  The tour is a two day event falling on the first
weekend of June and offers fiber enthusiasts and families the chance
to meet and learn more about a variety of fiber animals, including
angora goats and rabbits, sheep, alpacas, llamas and camels, and
even chickens, turkeys and pheasant (yes, feathers are fiber too!).
Each stop also features raw fiber and/or unique, hand-made finished
products, and many offer demonstrations and other educational
opportunities.  In 2010, the tour was featured in
New Mexico Magazine
and the magazine's
on-line video feature, "King of the Road."

The tour is Saturday and Sunday, June 2nd and 3rd, 2012 and marks
our 8th year on the tour. This is one of our favorite events of the year
and we look forward to seeing new and familiar faces back on our farm
that weekend.  Watch our website for more information and a map and
brochure.
